A trip to Africa:

After returning from a whirlwind ‘Safari tour’ of southern Kenya, Sarah and I welcomed the tranquil setting of our home. Reaching over, I picked up the Panther, curious to read about the goings-on back in the Valley. Ted Slate’s article on “Why I travel” jumped out at me and I found myself nodding in silent agreement. His observation that “travel should be both a catharsis and a form of continuing education” struck a deep chord within my psyche, compelling me to bang out the following paragraphs on my PC.
